Was listening to this last week on what became a particularly laidback commute. Worked wonders for the stress levels.

Vinny Reilly's one of my favourite guitarists. I've seen Durutti Column play twice over the last couple of years and he's still making beautiful music.'Rainbow Maker' and 'For Bruce' off the last album are as good as anything he's done.(He's one of my least favourite vocalists though. Last time we saw him he actually reminisced fondly how Tony Wilson would plead with him not to sing on his records: 'It's like you're a really good footballer and all you want to do is play cricket!'.)
one of the best gigs I ever went to was Durruti column at ronnie scotts , we got there late and had a "crappy" table at the side anyway vini moouches on and immediately turns sideways and plays most of the night directly at us! Ya man on the drums is tip top to (name escape me) made a flirty joke with my friend and we bought him a drink.
