essential viewing

you really must see these...

the world of kane people have dug up the stroppiest, sulkiest pop performance i've ever seen. well done sandie shaw. there's bernard cribbins singing 'right said fred' to accompany your bank holiday diy too.
and
whistle test wednesday and top of the pops tuesday over at i'm not always so stupid gives you the go betweens at their arched eyebrowed finest, teenage kicks, and all manner of wonderful stuff.
and then
go and play on the medium cool jukebox

now you don't have to moan that there's nothing on telly.

I think I am in love with Sandie Shaw circa 1965.

Many thanks for plugging the jukebox. In addition to the standard selections I will be uploading occasional demo and session tracks along with some live shows from the label's cassette archives. I'm even planning to put up some downloadable covers for the live sets with a bit more information.

I'm hoping to finally get the 1986 chapter of the Medium Cool story on to the MC blog the week after next. As well as covering the tale of the label it will be a record of the wider scene and may well feature sordid tales about the odd fanzine writer in there too...

that's alright then - there's nothing like a sordid fanzine writer to put anyone to sleep. sweet dreams
