Thanks again for my photocopy - a cherished possession. Have you ever seen the postcard fanzine?

Aww, that is simply one of the most deliciously charming things I've ever seen in my life. Thank, Dearest Ally

What other treasures lie in Miss Ally's old shoeboxes we wonder?

"My Burns Nu Sonic will not stay in tune due to the heat. Please line up dates in Paris immediately." Genius! Thanks for this.
Also, at the London Tower Records gig in 94 Forster said of People Say: "My mother still thinks this is the best song I've written."

and allan - that fanzine has been kept in a leadlined case for 28 years - it came with the felicity flexi to a very grateful northern bedroom way back

Ahh, fantastic stuff. Great song too. I must remember to dig out the Go-Betweens' 78 'til 79 album ASAP. Haven't listened to it for too long now.

I have all the photos from this decorating my cubicle wall at work. People have learned not to even bother asking what it is; we're talking about people who have no idea what "Scotland" is. My daily life is a desert, truly.

Great stuff... Can't quite believe that it was 28 years ago... Made me dig out my little drummer boy JOSEF K badge & shine it with pride.... I still think that "People Say" is the best think FORSTER has ever written

And Robert Forster once said "This is one of the top 10 greatest songs ever written. It's called People Say and I wrote it". The emphasis was on I. And he wasn't wrong.
