just in time

you know we love a waltz around here a jazz waltz as a rule a modal waltz a wishing these limbs had the grace and slink to turn two step shuffle floor sliding joy waltz but a beat waltz'll do nicely too... most especially a beat waltz with frankly audacious (shoo do do do doo doo) rhyming...

lazy gravy eighties oh well done chaps potatoes cheese graters eighties you are superstar rhymers indeed

direct hits - a place in the eighties

It is lovely. Influenced by Glen Campbell apparently, Everyday Housewife.

Next week in Bristol the BBC weather says it's going to be 21C and quite sunny - just how I like it, and in my favourite month too. But I will be in Turkey on hols for a week, where, according to BBC weather, it will gradually cooling down to 32C! That's too hot. It is turning out to be one of those years :(

The Direct Hits, mid 80s Mod band, influenced by The Jam, The Who, The Beatles, Squeeze XTC, etc etc. Very 1966 mod pop on the verge of psych. I wrote about them more than once at my old place. Their album Blow Up is a classic little psych pop thing.

They have a website here:

On the 'on the web' section there's two pieces by me as it happens. Which is quite funny.
